Here's the scary part, this bump wont go away.
It is about the size of half an extra large egg.
I guess i hit it on the slide down 3/4 of the steps. It really hurt but I was able to limp around on it. Later in the day it was impossible to walk so I slept it off.
When I wake up in the morning it hurts a little farther down and towards the back of my calf, as if the blood rushing to the area is finding a really messed up situation and it is my body telling me to stay off it.
I don't, there's wood to split, fires to start, cats to feed.
I am a bit stubborn. I'm not going to get an X-ray peacefully. I carry a knife. You need a knife in the country for all sorts of things.
I would rather provide this documentation about this ugly injury and tell you what a Genius Neanderthal with no Healthcare is willing to do to fix his leg..... hint- no doctors! doctors are expensive con men!
I am not going to run up a tab with a doctor.
I certainly will not listen to him say I have a slight fracture and I should stay off it for a while.
I have responsibilities around the farm This slows me down but I can carry 50 lbs 200 yards. That's better than alot of people. And it looks alot better than the day after it happened.....
If it is my destiny to be crippled by a treatable condition, so be it.
I will go on a speaking tour about how you should ALWAYS SEE A DOCTOR, and how you should trust them, even if your history with them is a history of them abusing you. There is a reason no one likes doctors. They are mostly just guessing, like an auto mechanic does. At this point in time I trust my Best guess over any Doctors.
The swelling is way, way down since i started standing in the freezing creek water a few times a day. I keep it in up to my knee until the foot starts to tingle. I walk with a numb foot and a numb leg and it's a funny walk as funny as any that Monty Python every did.
